Industrial Electrical
Discuss industrial electrical requirements with a clear brief covering the site, equipment, access and operational constraints.
Industrial electrical enquiries need careful definition because the working environment and equipment can vary considerably between sites. DWE LTD welcomes enquiries from Flintshire and North Wales. The nature of the work, site requirements and suitability of the project must be established before a scope or quotation can be agreed.
Explain the site and the proposed work
A useful starting point is a plain description of what the site does and what is changing. Identify the area involved, the equipment affected and whether the enquiry relates to a planned alteration or an existing concern. Share the information already available without making assumptions about the cause of a problem.
- Provide the site postcode and the contact responsible for the enquiry.
- Describe the equipment or area involved and the intended outcome.
- Include available drawings, equipment specifications or relevant reports.
- Set out access arrangements, induction requirements and restricted areas.
Discuss operational requirements early
Work within an operating site may need to account for production schedules, vehicle movements, other contractors and controlled access. Explain any proposed shutdown windows or dependencies at the enquiry stage. Timing and availability need to be agreed for the particular project rather than assumed from a preferred date.
Equipment-related work can involve responsibilities shared between the site team, equipment supplier and electrical contractor. Clarifying those responsibilities helps define the enquiry. Any specialist requirements, manufacturer involvement or information needed from another party should be identified before decisions are made about the scope.
Move from an enquiry to a defined scope
A site visit and further technical information may be required before a meaningful quotation is possible. The agreed proposal should identify the work included, its limits and the information on which it is based. Discuss the relevant testing and handover requirements as part of that process.
Send DWE LTD a short project outline, the postcode and your preferred timing. If you have photographs, use existing images or take them only from normally accessible, permitted areas. There is no need to open equipment or enter restricted spaces to support an initial enquiry.
